The Cleveland Indians have signed first basemen Josh Phelps to a minor league deal according to the teams’ Twitter page. Phelps will report to Triple-A Columbus where he will again try to impress the team so he can make the major league roster. He owns a major league career slash line of .297/.364/.495 against lefties.
