The Florida Marlins acquired Nate Robertson and cash considerations from the Tigers for minor league reliever Jay Voss. It is assumed the Tigers will cover Robertson’s ten million dollar contract. The Oakland Athletics signed the right handed Chad Gaudin earlier today, according to Ken Rosenthal. Gaudin was released by the Yankees earlier this week. Giants extend Matt Cain and others

According to Andrew Baggarly, the San Francisco Giants have extended Matt Cain, Brian Wilson and Jeremy Affeldt. Baggarly tweets that Cain will still make $4.5MM in 2010, roughly $8MM in 2011, and more than $15MM in 2012.
